U23s Beaten At Palace

The Tigers' U23s ended their Professional Development League campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Thursday.

Despite making a promising start to the game at Selhurst Park, Jon Beale’s side fell behind with 20 minutes played as Levi Lumeka headed home at the back post.

The Eagles doubled their lead on the hour when James Daly followed up after Harrison Foulkes’ brilliant save had denied Lumeka, and it was Lumeka who rounded off the scoring in the final minute with Foulkes again unfortunate when seeing a fine save offer a rebound for the Palace man to sweep up.

The result saw a five-game unbeaten run come to an end.
