"WINDASS!!! Quite simply, destined to be from Dean Windass!"
This was the moment that Dean Windass fired the Tigers into the Premier League for the first time in the Club’s history.
After volleying home Fraizer Campbell’s perfectly-placed cross, Windass secured his place in the record books and ended the Tigers’ 104-year wait for top-flight football. It was a moment of brilliance fit to grace such a magnificent venue and sent almost 40,000 Tigers’ fans inside the ground wild with delight.
This was the day that Windass lived the dream of every young child, scoring the winning goal for his hometown club at the most famous football stadium in the world. It was an emotional and joyous day for all of a black and amber persuasion and one that no-one connected to the Club will ever forget!
We dared to dream – and the dream came true – Happy Wembley Day!
