New signing David Milinkovic is looking forward to testing himself in a different league and country after joining Hull City from Italian side Genoa.
The 24-year-old winger has signed an initial three-year deal with the Tigers and is excited by his move into English football.
“I know 100 per cent that this is a very good and exciting opportunity for me,” said Milinkovic.
“I have signed for three years here and I am very happy about this. I had a very good experience last season with Hearts in Scotland and I think moving to the Championship now is a harder level.
“I’m very happy to be moving to England and I am hoping soon to be able to speak better English. Last season that was one difficult thing for me and I know that it will be important to improve this as speaking with your team-mates and the coaches is very important.
“Training with my new team-mates is something I am very excited about and I can’t wait to play my first game for this team even though I know it will only be a friendly.
“I am really looking forward to my time here.”
Milinkovic proved a real threat to defences during his season at Hearts, contributing goals and assists from the left wing in a side that finished in mid-table.
He now wants to transfer that into the Championship and continue to improve as a player.
“Each day, I want to be better than the last,” continued Milinkovic.
“We have to work hard every day as players and as a team because with good preparation we can play good games.
“I have spoken to the coach and I am just looking forward to trying to win a place in his team.”
