Today we share the sad news that defender Brian Lenihan has decided to retire from professional football.
Subsequently Lenihan has been released from his current contract with the Club by mutual consent.
Signed from Cork City in his native Ireland in 2014, Lenihan was a defender who showed great promise before the first of a succession of injuries halted his progress.
Those injuries restricted the right back to just two senior appearances for the Tigers, the most recent of which came last August when he captained the side in a Carabao Cup tie with Doncaster Rovers.
Brian will always be regarded as part of the Black and Amber Army and we would like to wish him all the very best for the future.
