Curry Signs New Deal

The Tigers are delighted to announce that Adam Curry has signed a new contract with the Club.

The 20-year-old, who first arrived at the KCOM Stadium from South Shields in November 2015, has signed a one-year deal which will keep him at the Club until the summer of 2019.

Although yet to make his senior debut in a black and amber shirt, the centre-back was part of Nigel Adkins’ squad that travelled to Kenya last week, playing the full 90 minutes in the goalless draw with Gor Mahia in front of 60,000 fans at the Kasarani Stadium.

Upon penning his new deal, Curry was quick to reveal his delight at extending his stay with the Tigers and said: “It’s been a bit of a whirlwind year for me. I’ve had highs and lows, and I always think it’s good to remember the lows because you can use them to spur you on.

“Signing this deal is definitely a high point for me though. Last summer it could have gone either way for me having been injured, but the Club was very good with me and put a lot of faith in me. They gave me the time to get myself right, which is something I’m very grateful for.

“And after my time out due to injury, it’s been a really positive season for me this year. Just to be playing regular football has been a massive positive for me, so to be rewarded with this new deal tops it all off. I’m just glad it has all worked out.

“It isn’t the end of the hard work for me though. I know I need to continue with my development and continue to improve as I look to push on and wherever I find myself next season – whether it be with the Under-23s or with the first-team – I will continue to work as hard as I possibly can.”
