Adkins Looks Forward To Brentford

Nigel Adkins is anticipating a good game of football when the Tigers round off their season with a trip to Brentford on Sunday.

With no pressure on either side, Adkins wants his team to go out and perform and entertain the travelling fans who have given his men great backing during the campaign.

“I think it will be a good game and it’s going to be a really warm day to round off the season,” said Adkins.

“We like to play football, Brentford like to play football and it should be an attractive game.

“I want our players to go out there and perform. It might be the last game of the season but people are still paying their money to go through the turnstile and they need entertaining.

“I want to enjoy watching it just like the fans do, and I want the players to enjoy playing.”

There certainly hasn’t been any let-up in training this week with Adkins working his players hard and giving them a taste of what they can expect when they return for pre-season on June 25th.

“We’ve been doing some fitness testing and then a session that will be the same as they will do when they come back in June,” continued the Head Coach.

“It’s been a tough couple of days for the players, but now they know what is going to be expected of them after the break.”
